We’re looking for an inspired, motivated and experienced Senior Front-End Developer (SFED) to join our team. We want this person to design and write code and provide support to web applications. You’ll be working with high-energy, multi-disciplinary teams that produce exciting work! However, the SFED also works independently, assuming ownership for the design, interface and programming of simple and complex web sites. The SFED works with web applications and a variety of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS and JavaScript, and is comfortable with content management systems.

  • Develop web applications that follow the latest web standards and conforms with leading-edge front-end technologies
  • Work closely with Creative, Business, Technology and QA teams to ensure the technology will be functional and meet performance targets on all web platforms (mobile, desktop)
  • Own the development of web applications and ensure they follow the overall technical architecture and design established by the technical lead
  • Implement user and business requirements which are composed of multiple development activities
  • Maintain up-to-date and complete documentation on projects as dictated by the capability’s guidelines and best practices
  • Debugs or troubleshoots complex issues in existing web applications
  • Proactively provide feedback on policies and procedures when an opportunity for improvement exists
  • Proactively provide guidance and support to other members of the in fulfill their tasks and improvement their performance and overall technical skills

What are we looking for? Besides a great attitude…

You must have:

  • At least 4 years of experience working with Front-End technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)
  • Minimum English Proficiency (B2 reading, writing, and conversation)
  • Experience dealing with Cross-browser and Responsive development
  • Excellent knowledge of recent development practices (Mobile First, MVC, Object Oriented development)
  • Work experience with popular JavaScript frameworks and cross-browser compatibility
  • Work experience with automation and pre-processing tools (e.g. Gulp, Grunt, SASS, LESS)
  • Work experience integrating web solutions with external web services
  • Advanced-level knowledge of Front-End technologies (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Knowledge of design patterns (e.g., model-view-controller, observer, object oriented, etc.) and working with several mainstream libraries and frameworks (jQuery, Angular, Ember, Backbone, React, VueJS, or any other)
  • Knowledge of pre-processed CSS styling (SASS, LESS)
  • Fluency in data transfer formats and protocols popular in web applications (e.g. JSON, XML, HTTP)
  • Capable of writing code compliant with modern accessibility (e.g. ARIA, WCAG, Microformats, ADA, RDF) and SEO guidelines and best practices
  • Capable of working with version control systems (SVN, GIT, Mercurial)
  • Capable of building proof of concept prototypes
  • Capable of integrating a web solution based on a Content Management System, such as AEM (Adobe Experience Manager)
  • Capable of troubleshooting, debugging and doing root cause analysis of web applications issues
  • Capable of consuming, parse and translate SOAP or REST web services

It’d be great if you also have:

  • BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline; or equivalent experience as Software Developer
  • Experience in Digital Agency projects, Web development projects or SCRUM/Agile software projects
